RemoteApp Hanging on Connection

If a RemoteApp hangs while connecting, follow these steps:

  1. Check for a stuck session:

    • Log in as Administrator on the server.

    • Open Task ManagerUsers tab.

    • Look for the stuck session of the affected user.

  2. Terminate the session:

    • Right-click the stuck session → Disconnect or Log off.

  3. Reconnect via RemoteApp:

    • The application should now start normally.

  4. If the problem persists:

    • Consider rebooting the server as a last resort.

Tip: Stuck sessions can occur if the previous session didn’t close properly. Regularly monitoring active sessions helps prevent connection issues.
